I love this bc people never say they’re proud of you for not killing yourself or not feeling depressed. people tell the kids on sports team and honor roll that they’re proud of them all the time. but you never hear someone say they’re proud of you for not cutting or for choosing to be happy or for not killing yourself. and they’re the ones that need to hear it the most. I’ve had one person tell me there proud of me for not being depressed when I had every right to and I’ll never forget that.
